Mark Waters

Mark began dancing at the age of 9, studying Jazz & Contemporary before training as an actor and dancer at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

After treading the boards for a few years, Mark discovered salsa in 1996, and has been a full-time professional salsa teacher and promoter since 2001. He initially began teaching at Salsa Palladium, and then as the resident teacher and promoter for Salsa-UK for 3 years where he helped to establish the reknowned UK International Salsa Congress. Here he had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from many of the world's salsa and mambo greats. Mark has had the great pleasure of teaching regularly at some of London's pivotal Salsa venues including La Finca, Bar Cuba, Havana and Bar Lorca to name a few.

He joined London-Salsa as a teacher and managing partner in 2004. As well as teaching and DJing regulary with other promoters, Mark currently teaches and DJs at London-Salsa's Two Brewers venue and runs the Intensive 1 Day Beginners & Improvers Workshops
