Newton 'Bomb' Brown
Newton 'Bomb' is London-Salsa's popular advanced teacher. Newton has performed and competed several times (UKA Finals 2001, Bacardi Finals 2002 and Pontin's Championships 2002). He has worked with Mambo City (3 years), I Love Salsa ( 5 years) and Salsa On Sundays (SOS). His superb bio is testimony to his quality and teaching excellence. Mark Waters
Mark began dancing at the age of 9, studying Jazz & Contemporary before training as an actor and dancer at the RSAMD. After a brief career as an actor he began dancing salsa in 1996 and has been a full-time professional salsa teacher and promoter since 2001, initially teaching at Salsa Palladium, and then as the resident teacher and promoter Salsa-UK for 3 years where he helped to establish the reknown UK International Salsa Congress. Sharon Pecino
Sharon is one of London-Salsa's own trained instructors. 'Fun' is the approach she takes to her teaching. She makes her students feel like dancers the minute they take a class! She has performed in shows and congresses around the UK with Mambolifestyle under the direction of Irene Miguel.
Amanda Royes
A South Londoner born and bred, Amanda took her first foray into the world of dance at the tender age of three, studying ballet and tap until she was nine. It was a few years yet though before she got her very first taste of salsa when back in 2001 she took a lesson and was immediately placed in the intermediate class! In 2004 Homero González, London’s original Cuban dance master, approached Amanda and invited her to become a member of his Cuban dance troupe and she dived into a world she grew to love – the spectacular cosmos of Afro-Cuban dance. Still dancing with Salsa Cubana to this day, Amanda regularly performs at the renowned Floridita and Carnival De Cuba as well as many other clubs, events and functions. Amanda’s also a stunning reggaeton dancer, having danced at many events and concerts, including with artists Leximan at the Don Omar concert and MC Magico at the Jazz Cafe and Carnival De Cuba.
Laura D'Arcy
Laura is a professional teacher and performer and has been dancing for more than twenty years.She achieved her Dance Teacher Degree in her native Finland in 1998. Laura has danced Cuban Salsa at competition level in London and internationally. Her most recent was 'Tropicana Dance World Championships 2004 London' where she danced La Rueda with 'Osbanis'. Niko Valiente
Originally from Spain, Nicolas Valiente, represented the UK as the World Salsa Championship in Las Vegas in 2005 achieving 10th place. He also achieved 2nd place at Salsa Republic competition and 2nd place at Scala LatinFest competition. Niko has taught & performed in many different countries, including Bratislava, Slovenia, Spain and Ireland, and was one of the main dancers in the salsa musical EL BARRIO. He trained as an actor and is known for his great energy and musicality.
Sandra 'Sonrisa'
Aiste Kalabuchova
Aiste Kalabuhova is from Siauliai, Lithuania. Aiste started dancing at the age of 5, she was a member of "Zelmeneliai" one of the best groups in the country and studied dance for 5 years at Klaipeda University (Lithuania). In 2002 Aiste came to London, completing a one year IDTA Freestyle Dance course and was also taught dance at secondary schools whilst studying. During this course a friend introduced her to Salsa. Aiste has learnt from internationally known teachers like Susana Montero, Joseph Davids and Andrea Stewart. Aiste was a member of Seraphim Dance Company and is currently dancing and performing with Duende Dance Company travelling to perform at congresses across Europe. In 2004 Aiste won amateur 3rd prize the in Tropicana World Dance Championships. She currently teaches for the Latin Collective Team, London-Salsa and Andrea Stewart. Not only is Aiste beautiful but she is a beautiful on the dance floor and is admired by many for her grace and beauty.
Simon Mascarenhas
After over 12 years of Ballroom, Latin and Old-time dancing from the age of six, Simon took a long break from dance whilst at University. After completing his professional exams in Architecture he decided to find a new hobby and stumbled on Salsa in 2003. He soon became a ‘salsa addict’ and began teaching for salsamotion in 2005 and london-salsa in 2007. Maria McDermott

Miguel Monteiro
Miguel teaches intermediate & advanced students at London-Salsa. He has a UKA qualification which clearly reflects his good standard of teaching. His style is 'refined' and his personality 'Fun'. Richard Fallon
Medals in ballroom/ Latin as a youngster plus a teenage passion for bop, jive and sharp funk moves led to Richard’s kidnapping in 1997 by salsa dance and music. Teaching and DJing since 2000 in a wide variety of London clubs, Richard’s 2-year stint with Cuban dance troupe Cudance saw him performing nationally and internationally. Richard is an instinctive dancer, at ease dancing and teaching Mambo, On1, Casino and Rueda. Clarity, inclusiveness and having fun are key elements he values in his teaching. Tel. 07968 738190
Tim Rowe
Tim first started learning Salsa in July 2002. By February 2004 he was teaching and has continued to teach regularly every week since. In October 2005 he reached the final of the Tropicana World Championships at the professional level competing against contestants from Canada, Holland, Cuba and Turkey. He Joined the Diablo Dance company in February 2005 and won the European team championship one month later beating 10 other teams from France, Holland, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland. In June 2005 he performed at the Paris congress and again in September at the UK Salsa congress where he also came third in the British open championships. In October 2006 Tim joined the Salsa Diversion dance company.
