Amanda Maitland

Amanda first experienced Salsa while on holiday in St Lucia. She was inspired by it, learnt to dance it, and subsequently teach it. She has been dancing and teaching Salsa in the UK for over 7 years, has worked on a corporate corporate level for many large companies including Canary Wharf Arts & Events and the BBC, as well as running the hugely successful aftershow parties & classes at Sadler’s Wells’ 2007 hit summer show, Havana Rakatan.

Amanda has taught Salsa in London’s hottest night- spots, including the famous Ronnie Scott’s, Turnmills and La Finca. She also travels extensively in Europe and teaches in Havana, Cuba where she runs dance holidays for Club Dance Holidays. In addition to adding her magic spice to lessons at La Clave Cubana, Amanda currently teaches in The Svelt Bar in Croydon, The Cuban in Camden, and Salsa Republic in Vauxhall.
